Maya took a breath and loosed an arrow, aimed for Aisha's shoulder. And as if cued by that a brilliant light blazed directly behind Maya, golden warm sunlight from behind the girl obscuring her for a few moments before the light died. Maya used that to light to fire off two more arrows, doing her best to not let it disturb her. Letting that fire hide her as it would be impossible to look at her for the moments before the light faded.

What the heck that was can wait till after the flag is safe.
